It all started out on saturday morning. I packed the drinks in the igloo and some snacks for the drive. We got to the park after a smooth drive. It was very scenic the whole way. We entered the park by giving $3.00 entrance fee. We started out with the trail that took us to the falls. The trail itself was not so hard but there was a little bit of rain. However, we were covered by the trees so the rain didn't really hit us too hard. Finally when we got to the end of the trail there was a wooden-booth for people to see the fall. There were signs that said "Do not climb the rocks or swim in the water". It was a tiny stream of water falling against the huge rocks at a moderate pace. The stream fell into a tiny pond of water and then slowly migrated downwards flowing in between rocks. So many people were there and some of them had climbed all the rocks to see the top of the fall and some were swimming. We decided to just stay in the booth and view the fall. Unfortunately, we didn't bring the camera because of the rain. It would have ruined it as it has in the past!!!! So that was the the trail to the base of the falls. We decided to go back to the car and eat lunch somewhere next to the lake. We found a beautiful bench right next to the river and had lunch there. It was just beautiful because by this time the rain had stopped. Although, high winds had taken off. So all the leaves and the nuts were falling from the trees and going into our lunch. We then decided to go on a strenous trail which was about .75miles which lead to the base of the falls. This was a moderately hard trail for me. Its was very rocky and huge slopes at times but easy at some points. The thing that scared me was that there were rattle snakes, bears, and deers in this park. We only saw deers and they ran away from us. We were enjoying this trail a lot. Also, we were munching on Trail-Mix for some time. so after 45 minutes we reached to the base of the falls again. This time we decided to cross the stream of water with rocks and go on the opposite side. From this side we could see the falls better. It was scary for me because it had just rained and the rocks were slippery. I managed to get there with his help. I was tightly holding his hand. We were looking out for each other. There was a point were he was going to slip but i held him tight and pulled him up. Ohhh thank god! So we trailed back to the car and drove aroun to see the rest of the park. We decided to sit next to the lake and have salsa and chips: ) that was so much fun. It was almost 4pm and we decided to end this adventurous day. So we exited from the park and were driving back to the home. We saw a sign for an Orchard and decided to buy some fresh fruits from there. It was really nice...I still have not tasted it yet because it is not ripened just yet! It was a very active day. We decided to play tennis late on. We were so tired at the end of the day. The sleep was much needed for a full recovery. So I woke up late this morning. I started doing some assingment that is due tomorrow. Perhaps some studying for quizes this week. So weekend was excellent, I must say. But now, I miss him: ( I wish he was here.
